Nuclear Technique Laboratory

Nuclear Technique Laboratory was established in 2012 as part of the development orientation for training, scientific research, and applications of nuclear techniques at the University of Science, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Since its establishment, the laboratory has gradually developed into an experimental space serving teaching, learning, and research activities in the field of nuclear techniques. The laboratory’s activities focus on radiation measurement, environmental radioactivity analysis, radiation safety, and related applications.

In its early stage, the laboratory focused on building its fundamental facilities, equipping measurement systems, and developing experimental procedures for teaching, professional practice, and research. It has served as a place where undergraduate students, graduate students, and PhD candidates can approach experimental methods in nuclear physics and nuclear techniques.

Throughout its operation and development, Nuclear Technique Laboratory has gradually expanded its training and research scope across different specialized areas of nuclear techniques and applied nuclear science. Research activities at the laboratory are associated with radiation measurement, Monte Carlo simulation, sample analysis, non-destructive testing, radiation safety, and related applications.

Development process

Since 2012, Nuclear Technique Laboratory has gradually developed from a unit supporting experimental training into a space for implementing applied research activities in the field of nuclear techniques. The laboratory is now an important academic space that supports staff members, graduate students, and undergraduate students in conducting experimental research, sample preparation, measurement, and data analysis.
